Charge D’Affaires spoke at Georgetown University.

 

Charge D’Affaires Ms. Wafa Bughaighis was featured as a Keynote speaker at the 2017 National University Model Arab League (NUMAL) conference hosted by Georgetown University and National Council on the US-Arab Relations on Sunday, April 2nd in Washington DC. The Model Arab Leauge (MAL) is the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations premier student leadership development program. Annually, over 2,200 students from 150 institutions participate in one of the 25 (MAL) conferences across the United States. The students gain experience from portraying Arab diplomats, allowing them to enhance their understanding on the issues and politics that face the region and the Arab-U.S. relationship.

Ms. Bughaighis addressed the audience with a passionate speech discussing the latest developments of the situation in Libya and the Middle East, expressing content for the program that helps build new skills and perspective for future careers in international business, politics, academia, and beyond.
